What A Day

I just had a hell of a 24 hours. It all started last night when mommy hid my bowl of kibbies. I have no idea where they went, and gosh darn it I wanted some! I assumed it was some kind of mistake so I decided to get a good night’s sleep and take it up with mommy in the morning.

Well morning rolled around and guess who walked downstairs without stopping to give me kibbies? Mommy. Mommy wouldn’t give me kibbies! I was so appalled that I screamed and ran down the hall next to her…but to no avail. For my last attempt I tried to trip mommy as she went down the stairs…and this almost worked. But almost doesn’t count when it comes to kibbies.

Then in a strange turn of events, mommy Laura came over. I thought she had certainly heard of my impending starvation and had come to rescue me. Boy was I wrong.

To add insult to my morning of injury, mommy Laura went downstairs and brought out my cat carrier. Now things were going downhill fast. Next thing I know I’m in the damn carrier and in the car.

We pulled up to the vet’s office and I recognized it immediately. I was just here! What now? Mommy Laura sat on a chair with me in the waiting room while mommy signed some papers. Just when I thought things couldn’t get worse…they did…

The door to the outside opened and in the span of 5 seconds there was a giant German shephard in my face. What an ugly mess of an animal - breathing all heavy and peering into my carrier as if he owned the place. Jerk. Get the f*#% out of my face!

After this my memory starts getting a bit hazy. Some cute lady took me into the back and mommy was no longer with me. I waited around in a little cage and then they gave me something that made me very sleepy. I started thinking about a giant grassy meadow with trees made of string, all blowing in the wind…

Long story short - I woke up in the same cage and felt really groggy. I took a long nap and then mommy came to pick me up. She took me home and tried feeding me wet food. Hells no! Give me my kibbies! Mommy then took some of my kibbies and put water on them so they became smooshy. Disgusting! I refused to eat these things.

Finally she got the drift and I got my regular kibbies back! Oh the joy I felt! I ate a bunch and then spent the rest of the night cuddling closely with mommy. A nice end to a crazy day. Let’s hope I never have to go through that again!

P.S. I overheard the vet telling mommy that I had two teeth pulled. I hope the tooth fairy is generous tonight!
